I'm noticing more and more posts about the problems with quality/usability/ and general minor glitches of the Leica digital cameras.Some years ago I bought the VLux 1(I needed a camera for using in dusty conditions without the need to change the lens).This camera STILL performs all the required functions for taking a good to excellent photograph,as does my D-Lux 3 ,With the Olympus TCON-17 !.7 Tele conversion lens attached I have 800mm+ focal length.I can't ,for the life of me, understand what it is Leica Digital users are continually chasing in their requirements.Leica is built to perform,my VLux 1 and D-Lux 3 still do.The only analogy I can think of is the ordinary golfer who thinks that by buying expensive golf clubs every couple of months will make him a better golfer.The truth is, he has'nt got the basics mastered to play a good game.Rant over,chest cleared. lol
