wda Posted August 8, 2013 Share #1 Â Posted August 8, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) My dealer returned a lens to me, following repair at Solms, with a new Passport application. The lens was outside normal warranty. At first the dealer said that following repair, I could apply for new passport. This was later rescinded, citing a mistake. Anecdotal evidence remains in the distant reaches of my mind suggesting that following such a repair, Leica do give a warranty, although there was no documentation enclosed to support this policy. In Europe, before I seek clarification from Leica, what is the situation?

Jeff S Posted August 8, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted August 8, 2013 I wonder if the distinction between UK warranty versus Passport has some bearing on the criteria for extension. Â Jeff
andybarton Posted August 8, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted August 8, 2013 You would normally expect a 1 year warranty on the work but no Passport extension. The warranty will come from Solms, the Passport is a Leica UK benefit.
