Coding lenses for M(240)

I installed new flanges from Jin on my 35/2 type iv, 50/2 and 90/2.8 tele-elmarit m - all of which work flawlessly on the M9. None of them work on the M - with the camera set to auto detection, the display shows all three lenses as uncoded.

It looks like the factory coding may contain slightly larger pits and the M sensor looks to be curved more than the M9. Has anyone else had this happen and is there a fix for it (other than sending the lenses to Leica for new flanges)??

I don't have an answer to your problem, but I can confirm that the lens sensor on the M (240) is different from that on the M8/M9/M-E. I know this because I've encountered a problem w/my M not recognizing the 50mm setting on my coded Tri-Elmar (http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/leica-m9-forum/278248-auto-lens-detection-glitch-w-28-a.html ) & had Leica NJ look into the problem. They explained that an adjustment probably needed to be made to my camera &/or lens (most likely the body since the lens behaves the same on other Ms) due to this difference in the new sensor/detector, but that they weren't equipped to handle it at the present time. Once Leica NJ gets up to speed on servicing the new model, I'll have the problem fixed if I have the time to spare the body.

I had the same problem with Leitax (28/90mm frame line) R to M flanges on the M (240). Coded adapter being unrecognised and the R lens menu unavailable. Unfortunately I'm waiting for a replacement camera so can't investigate further at the moment.
