Guest Gilgamesh Posted August 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 2, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Credit where credit's due, this facility to spy all the dust and muck is excellent. Should have brought my Arctic Butterfly with me though and saved on my wipes.
Advertisement Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Hi Guest Gilgamesh, Take a look here Sensor cleaning. Dust detection. Excellent!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
JDP Posted August 2, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 2, 2013 Totally agree, excellent feature and makes the process of getting to a clean sensor much quicker over photographing the sky and checking the LCD at 100%. I've read that some find it overly sensitive, but also that some HDR S2 users who appeared to have spotless sensors in fact didn't once the contrast was cranked, so this maybe the reason for the 'oversensitivity'.
