Not sure which pack this is; I don't think there is anything between 400 ws and 1100. The 1100 has been due for an update for a long time; the new version will inevitably be lighter and much less expensive than the Broncolor. : )

I was referring o their line of porties and you are absolutely right 120. My buddy who has a Studio right around the corner from mine has the Ranger Pack. The WS Capacity is not marked anywhere I could see on the outside that was readable to these tired old eyes. When I asked him, he said 750. I figured he would know.

I'm sure you know that the Hybrid is 400, but I was thinking about the Ranger. And I definitely would not quibble comparing 1100 to 1200.

Ralf,

Sorry for the trouble, but can one adjust the power of the pack from the Transmitter like the Elinchrom System? If so, can you adjust two heads simultaneously?

Hi William,

no trouble at all. You can adjust the power of the pack from the Transmitter. However

it seems that this can't be done independently per head, the increase/decrease is per

flash unit linked to the transmitter. See ISSUU - Operating Manual RFS 2 English by Bron Elektronik AG

I can't test myself since so far i just have one Bron head.

Cheers,

Ralf

Just saw this 120. You do not use it directly. If that were the case, I'd just buy a much more inexpensive octa. However, there are three diffusers that are available (thin, medium, heavier) that you can quickly mount.

The whole point is that you have 35 points of light (or however many panels) when shooting into, plus focusing attachment to focus and de-focus giving completely different looks. The person I know that has been using one for about 6 months (he is a dealer) says that there is no need for a diffuser panel.

At this point, not sure if I want to Travel with this baby. Probably Studio only, unless sealing it in a crate and shipping to another Studio. I see way too many points that dust has the possibility to enter.

The back pack has an ingenious device to pack a medium light-stand much like many photo back packs carry tripods.

I was thinking of travel; it looks like the hardware for using it indirect is half the weight.

This thread has inspired me to get the 100 DO. I have one of the big indirects that is the same weight as your Para and hardware. But it's maybe not that portable... 50" folded and also needs a big stand.

Thanks for the pics!
