CV 35 Nokton samples

My original 35mm Nokton was not ready for the M8. That said, cameraquest says it will upgrade them for use with the M8 if you are the 'orignal' purchaser from cameraquest.com if not they want $150US plus shipping.

I bought mine (mint) from a member of RFF who in turn had recently bought it from camerquest. Cameraquest still wanted money from me to upgrade the lens - even though it was purchased from them, but I was not the original purchaser.

I contacted VC about this - they tell me they have no such policy and that cameraquest should upgrade lenses purchased from them without qualification (free) as requested by end users + the cost of shipping... rather than argue I sold the lens to someone who will use it on a Bessa film camera and was not concerned about the M8.

I since purchased a second 35mm Nokton that is M8 ready for the same price as cameraquest. I have not shot a great deal with it. I stuck with the lens hood that comes with the Nokton - it covers less of the viewfinder than the optional vented hood, but that is strictly a preference. The vented hood is very cool looking :)

The lens does not disappointed - and in my humble opinion performs upto and better than the original Noctillux 50mm F1.2. For well under a $1000US you have a 47mm F1.2 ASPH for the M8.

Sorry for all the detail. The link below are some shots with the Nokton. Nothing special for sure.
