bocaburger Posted July 16, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 16, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) The LHSA International Leica Society is having it's annual meeting in San Francisco, California, USA October 29 through November 3, 2013 Contrary to myth, we are not a bunch of old collectors who gather to discuss different screw heads and other arcane minutae These gatherings are always great, with excellent planning and interesting tours and photo-ops and speakers, and the people are great company. Plus, Leica is always on hand to loan out the latest equipment. Stefan Daniel is slated to be there giving a talk. This would be a tremendous opportunity for people to meet other Leica photography enthusiasts, and take advantage of the USD-Euro exchange rate. San Francisco is also a good location for folks living in Asia and thereabouts. Joining is quite inexpensive, and the monthly magazine Viewfinder has been upgraded several times in the recent past and is very well done. rcoles Posted August 18, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 18, 2013 I have attended several of LHSA meetings since getting my M9 in late 2009. I agree with the OP that their meetings are well done and offer something for every Leica user. The San Francisco program looks fantastic and the Leica Academy is offering a 5-day post-meeting workshop in Yosemite National Park. Bob
