calithumpian Posted July 13, 2013 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello I have being experimenting with Image Stabilisation on my Leica X2 and finding that it was not functioning properly. The manual says it needs shutter speeds between 1/30 and 1/4 and ISO of 1600 or lower, I was shooting within these. After some investigation it seems that IS only works when shooting in JPEG not in JPEG+DNG. The "Image Stab. ON" comes up when shooting a scene in JPEG only and is not there when switching to JPEG+DNG. Does anybody else have this issue?
Advertisement Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Hi calithumpian, Take a look here Image Stabilisation. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
HiltonJoy Posted September 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2013 Well as I don't use IS, this caught my attention and I can confirm that at least on the X1 this is correct. Works on JPEG only setting, confirmed by the audible double shutter capture. Can only guess the X2 is the same Loving the IQ and still learning. Cheers.
