If you live on the West Coast, Phoenix, Houston, Las Vegas, and wherever else Fry's has a store, you might want to consider a great deal--the Wolverine 80GB FlashPac Portable hard drive. It doesn't allow you to display images like an Epson 2000, 4000, or 5000. But it is solid, dependable, simple to use, and easy to connect to your computer for downloading.

Great, so what's the big deal? Through Tuesday, it's a mere $69.95 after rebates. Dirt cheap. I have had one for two months and it is really a great, inexpensive solution for portable storage. It includes built-in readers for CF, SD, and a couple of other formats. It comes with a solid charger, and is battery-powered. It also includes a nice nylon bag with a belt loop. I used mine this week in N. Orleans, constantly downloading from my SD cards as I went around the city. When I got back to my hotel, I plugged it into the USB port of :o my 12" Mac Powerbook and reviewed the day's catch. Can't beat the price.

Just thought I'd recommend it to anyone in the market for this sort of thing.
