Nick De Marco Posted April 7, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 7, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently read about an adaptor to fit Leica lenses on canon digital SLRs I have a canon 5D, and as I mentioned on another thead, having invested heavily in Canon L lenses, including some good prime ones, i am not about to migrate to leica for digital work. However, having experimented with a voigtlander bessa R2 I got the rangefinder bug and I have recently bought a coupld of Leica Ms and the 50mm f2 summicron and 35mm f2 summicron (v4) lenses. I wonder if these leses will make a big differnce on my canon digital and if it is worth buying this adaptor. Anyone have any experience with this? thanks nick

ibogost Posted April 7, 2007 Share #2 Posted April 7, 2007 I believe the adaptor only works for Leica R lenses, not M lenses.
jrgeoffrion Posted April 7, 2007 Share #3 Posted April 7, 2007 I believe the adaptor only works for Leica R lenses, not M lenses. This is correct (due to the flange to "film" distance that is shorter since there is no mirror).
