Advertisement Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Hi dseelig, Take a look here Purple fringe. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ken_tanaka Posted April 6, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted April 6, 2007 This is normal and sometimes called "sensor ringing". The M8's sensor is a bit more prone to these fringes than other cameras I use. You can minimize the effect by slightly under-exposing scenes with extremely bright areas. You can also remove some or all of the fringes with Photoshop CS2's/CS3's chromatic aberration adjustments. gravastar Posted April 6, 2007 Share #8 Â Posted April 6, 2007 David/Steve, somewhere I have a Photoshop action which may also help. What it does is to find edges between light and dark objects, asks you to select the color of the fringe with the eye dropper and then desaturates that color near the edges. I don't know where it is at the moment, I'll see if I can locate it. Â Bob.
