Setting WB with GT CC

to get a "neutral grey" you typically want to click on an area between 120-180 this obviously depends on the lighting, and is usually the 3rd gray patch on the larger GMB chart.

 

an abosolute neutral gray reading in photoshop is 128, 128, 128

 

as long as you zero the RGB chanels so they are the same you will get a neutral light source, the reason you want to get within these values is so you don't clip anything (easy to do in the highlight/shadow areas, which is why it isnt always good to WB off a whitecard).
