stephengilbert Posted April 5, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted April 5, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) In their answers to Guy's questions, Leica had this to say regarding sensor cleaning: Â "Professional DSLR cleaning kits from 3rd parties can be used. We recommend Iso-Propanol based systems. In general it should be tried first to remove the dirt with a dry cleaning method." rwfreund Posted April 6, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted April 6, 2007 I didnt think you would blow anything into a camera. Wouldnt you use one of those compressed air ventury effect vacuums? Guess I am just lucky I dont have to do it. Â A light blowing is less invasive than a brush or a swab. sometimes it works well enough and avoids the more invasive steps. I use a rocket blower (a rubber bulb blower) with a bit of pecpad attached over the air inlet valve to act as a filter. cheap and it works tolerably well -bob
