Leopold Green Posted June 11, 2013 Share #21 Posted June 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) you can do 2 downloads, if you have done 2 downloads with your registered camera you cannot download anymore I've got LR4 with my M9 and LR5 with my M240 I already downloaded LR4 when I got my Monochrom last month - do I understand it that if I do my second [and final] download now I will get LR5 and my TAN number will get me a valid serial number? Guest WPalank Posted June 13, 2013 Share #24 Posted June 13, 2013 Ok, here's what I did. I just got a new iMac for my Studio and downloaded Lightroom 4.2 from the Customer area on the Leica site. (Folks, forget the little link on the main page. Log into the customer area and check to see if you have any leftover downloads.) As it happens, just last week I had downloaded LR 4.2, as you know, 5 was released this week. US Experience: I called Adobe support, they have a feature where they call you back rather than have you wait on the phone and the call back was fairly accurate, I think after 25 minutes. I talked to a kind Indian fellow from Mumbai and discussed that I had just downloaded 4.2 last week and felt I should get a free upgrade. He went off somewhere and discussed the issue with someone above his pay grade. He opened a support ticket and said I needed to download two things in the support ticket. 1) Receipt from Camera shop. 2) Something that said I get a Lightroom download. He said a simple picture from the iPhone would be sufficient. (jpeg) Receipt, easy. With the M you get three booklets including the Manual. The smallest one talks about a free download of LR. I took a picture of that page and prefaced that the cost of Lightroom had been priced into this VERY expensive camera. Two days later I got a license for a free LR5 download.
