Shootist Posted April 5, 2007 Share #22 Posted April 5, 2007 Paul, do you have problems taking off or putting in the hood on the Summilux 35mm ASPH. I find it near impossible !!! The hood that came with my 35 ASPH was easy to put on, once you lined it up correctly. But it would come off very easily just by trying to take the cap off. I found that the little retractable wings didn't seat all the way into the grove. So I cut the ring that stop the hood on the front of the lens. Now it goes on and stays on. But the same hood that came with my 28 f/2.8 Elmarit ASPH, the same hood as the one that comes with the 35, goes on either 28 and 35 and stays on without any mod to it.
