Almost on page 1000!!

Pete

I agree, the tip over from 999 - 1000 should be bestowed on the Doc.

Gary

Almost 1000 yes and 1000 soon beginning in June 2013 :)

This thread "I like film" I must say now "I love film" is really a success

Thanks to you :)

Every day new gentlemen contributors come, proving that you are connoisseurs of what is beautiful, in the artistic sense

of the term.

There are no better support than the film , the good old film that our parents knew,

Chris images show us as evidence that the film remains intact after years of conservation and that it is always nice to see

with great memories.

I wish that digital images do the same, even by saving and saving everyday

I'm also a little sad to leave you soon not to see view and intervene occur daily as I am doing now, because in mountain

villages where I'm going to treat the elderly as young children (I will show you photos with my purchase of 50 rolls of film).

where I am there will have no internet.

Keep posting and thank you all :)

"Film is not dead , long live to film"

Have a nice day all

Regards

Henry

I really like this one a lot Gary...I enjoy how the difference in contrast takes you from foreground out into the center scene; then to the left over the mountains and into the clouds.

I agree with Marc very nice tone color Gary

Soft and relaxing landscape

Best

I like this one Eoin. Having that enlarged and put on the wall would make one feel as if one is standing among the bamboo.

Sounds like a fascinating topic of study, Kevin. Thank you for explaining.

Philip, I'm a professor of modern Chinese history.  My research is on Chiang Kaishek's Nationalist regime during the Second Sino-Japanese War (1937-45).  Chongqing (Chungking in contemporary English sources) was the temporary capital after 1939, so many of the records for this period are still in the Chongqing Municipal Archives.  Huge, vast oceans of documents, most never seen by anyone except the people who wrote them, received them, and filed them.  The trip in 2014 was to use the Chongqing Municipal Library, however, because it has an enormous collection of printed materials (the Roosevelt Library is housed there).   It was closed (to move into a brand new building) when I did my major archival work in 2006-07.  So I had to go back.  Managed to cram in a nice jaunt to Emeishan (Mt. Emei) and Chengdu with a good friend.  Photos are from that mini-trip.

Lately I've been shooting medium format, would you like to see?

Ilford HP5 - Spur HRX - Scan of the print.

wonderful, Charles.

Nice one Adam... great color and my type of shot involving people.  Having the hat over her face make her anyone...as opposed to someone who I don't know.

Thanks, Marc.  Perhaps I should start carrying a one-size-fits-all hat with me for my subjects? :)

I'm afraid my rangefinder is off, this is as sharp as they get, but on an M8 this lens performs a lot better... :(

Hi Meri glad to welcome you in this thread on page 1000  :)

I had Epson V500 too and after V700 . It's good flatbed scanners.

Gary'll agree with me.

Permit me to correct the photo a bit : setting the white balance (WB) in LR + some brilliance

and the picture is sharper  . It's not your RF fault  IMO

I have also a M8 and film is nicer in color  in comparison

Klaus I recognize your style now :)

Superb pictures in b&w

TMax has not the same b&w tone in comparison with Kodak TX

a bit clearer

Thanks for posting
