Gary,

A picture that captures the typical atmosphere in those markets.

When were you staying there? If it was this summer we could have met?

A few cities further in Arles there's an annual Photoexhibition in Summer, did you visit that as well?

It was September 2013, we stayed Place Forum Des Cardeurs. A wonderful stay too, we were on the 4th floor of an apartment complex and had a rooftop balcony outdoor area, perfect for the wine/cheese/etc in the evening. We loved it. It was our second visit to Aix, and we took the train to Marseilles as well, which is just as well, as Henry and Eoin have been posting profusely some wonderful shots of this area.

Unfortunately most of the many shots I have of the area were with my Leica X1, digital, so not really cricket to post them here.

Our reason for the visit was to visit the Eurocopter factory as Marignane.

Eoin thanks, my wife will be going there in September, she was very pleased to see your great pics. Any good tips for the place, restaurants etc? Tony.

Hi, MRTEE.

Only tips I have are to get there early in the day, before the crowds (although September may be better), and to be aware that restaurants do not generally open until midday.

I took these Bougainvilea with M8,M9 and M7

Only M7 reproduces faithfully the color without correction !

Here's an oddity. There was a brief craze for panoramic 35mm cameras that simply cropped the negative into a long thin shape that was only one third the width of the film. This was taken in 1996 with an Ansco Pix Panorama, a plastic nightmare with no focusing, no exposure controls, just a shutter button. Kodak Gold 400.

Chris IMO the color is faithfully reproduced with Kodak Gold. You agree with me ?

This color of  stone is really nice. I  always look for film brand with faithful colors

and I think this is the case here  :)

Thanks for posting
