gbealnz Posted July 29, 2016 Share #19147 Posted July 29, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Red? Took a roll a month or so ago, mono, and decided to try the next roll of colour I had in the SWC. I had a couple of older rolls of Fuji NHG160, and while they had been stored cold, I fear they may have been too old. The two rolls look consistently thin, by about a stop. No matter, colour is colour. SWC NHG160 Scanned by the processing lab, so I might try this later, once I get the negs back. Gary Welcome, dear visitor! gbealnz Posted July 30, 2016 Share #19150 Posted July 30, 2016 Gary superb color One question Have you a tele 75 or 90 mm for portrait ? Best Henry With these two Henry, or in general? These two (latest post) shots were with the Hssselblad SWC, so no tell, just a fixed 38mm lens, WIDE too. In general, sort of. I have just processed this afternoon a roll taken with the R8, and I used to R28-70. So a form of tele there. For my M? No, nothing over 50mm. Doc Henry Posted July 30, 2016 Author Share #19151 Posted July 30, 2016 (edited) Gary just to know. Tele lens gives more in portraits * , adding details that did not give the 50 mm(focus at 0.70) which distorts a little , as I said above to GSGary May be with your 70mm (28-70) I think it's better Jules tele 90 ME (focus at 0.80) taken recently Welcome, dear visitor! KevinL Posted July 30, 2016 Share #19154 Posted July 30, 2016 Wonderful Photo The little boy is what makes the picture. Massimo Yes Massimo don't notice that Bravo Kevin Best Henry Thanks much, gents! This was cropped a little on the bottom. I just didn't have time to frame as well as I would have liked and the extra cement at the bottom didn't add anything to the image. Only got this one frame and the moment was gone -- in addition, the friend I was shooting with then trampled me because I had knelt down right in front of him, accidentally ruining his shot to get mine. I still feel guilty about that.

KevinL Posted July 30, 2016 Share #19157 Posted July 30, 2016 Kevin the advantage of M is discretion sometimes one photo is enough and nicer Sorry for your friend. Your friend has a M too ? Best Henry Henry -- thankfully one was enough in this case! Discretion isn't always necessary during a Pride Parade -- most everyone there who doesn't have a camera in hand is quite consciously "on display". My friend was shooting a Nikon SLR (F2 if I remember correctly); thankfully, he was a good sport about it all as he knew I had eyes only for the scene in front of me.
