Great, Chris.

My NYC lab - one of the largest and well-regarded in NYC - just dropped a bomb on me today and advised me that they will stop completely stop E-6 processing next month. :o

My heart is broken and I now need to shift labs...

Can you give me the details of the E-6 kit that you are using? I know you mentioned it before but good luck with me finding it!

Time to go to the Color House on Lafayette St. They do everything and well. Including scanning and printing and all film sizes.

Another from Hoi An

6 x 6 TMAX 400

Asked a shop keeper if I could go up onto his roof......I got some funny looks but he agreed and took me for a walk up his small winding staircase.......here is the view from his roof.

Lovely and varied shots Neil.

How is your "keeper" rate, per roll?

Good to see you enjoying it.

I used a 040 orange filter for maybe 80% of my B&W shots and I wish I hadn't ..........waay to much contrast for my liking. Saying that, PScc can work wonders and take some of that away, in future I will leave the filters at home and add them in PP if needed.

Keepers, I love them all.........I would say that out of a roll of 12, I maybe missed 1 to 2 on exposure but hardly missed any on competition  as I was taking my time shooting from a tripod.

Yesterday I dropped of 12 rolls of 120 Portra which I should get the negs back tomorrow night so will have all day Tuesday to scan those and give me something to play with next week when I am back on the rig for a month :(

The roofs of Hoi An are very old

this gives a charm to the city, we do not find anywhere else

No building it's forbidden

You've come a long way in a short time, Neil - Well done. I generally don't use filters when shooting film (light in Asia is already high contrast). I do use them with my MM (and occasionally forget to take them off when I swap lenses to my M6).

Cheers mate............its all been a fantastic learning curve, which wouldn't have been possible without people like you and all the other members here on the Leica Forum.

I really don't miss the gun-ho machine gun kind of photography that I was well acustom to, this film photography has slowed me down and my photography has become more celebrate .....see something and then say, would that really make a nice picture, (before I would rattle of 20 shots hoping for the best) now I just walk away or if I really think it will be something special I will take my time, check check and check again before hitting the trigger..............well, not quite there yet but that is my goal.

I will be in Publika this afternoon for a coffee if you fancy it ??
