It IS a god thread huh? Lots of variation, not too much scrapping either, all is good.

A lovely combination, R6/50 Summicron, very nice.

I'm interested in your SilverMax use too, I have a roll to try at some stage, and am gleaning as much info as I can on it, and what to develop it in.

Gary

Gary, it is a great thread and thank you though the R6 does not get out much as I prefer the rangefinder experience, but its a happy encounter when we collide. As far as Silvermax is concerned I use it from time to time (for landscapes) and develop it in it's "own" developer and stick strictly to the manufactures guidelines.

B&W for me Henry, but you knew that anyway.

In making that decision, the colour shot is flat, and really is partway to mono anyway. Yes I know there is a little bit of colour there but it almost has a sepia look to it.

I'll dig out a few that I have of the same area, from last year.

Gary you're a good guy :)

Thanks for your choice.

I prefer b&w too and I join with you as a b&w expert :)

Your opinion about this picture ?

Not satisfied for the rendering for me in b&w ,  it can sometimes happen
Taken in a small pond , big yellow Ranunculus (really big) ,  perhaps better in color and better rendering

than in b&w

Here I think the flowers would look "better" in colour, especially if yellow, and yellow against green always stands out to me.

Gary

Thanks Gary

Forget to tell you . I wanted to take them with a 50mm lens . I found that it's flat

I decided to change lens and mount a 90mm

Yes you're right may be in color it's better

This sort of picture "requires" colour to me Henry, and you know how staunch B&W I am.

Same old Fuji RDP3
