Only compensate if you are using an external exposure meter. Your M6TTL measures through the lens (and filter) , so the filter factor is compensated for automatically.

I'm not sure whether you are using a measuring finder on your Hasselblad, in that case the same applies.

Old school mate, I using a spot meter and averaging out the area to be photographed...........working a treat :)

I managed to get myself the Zeiss 40mm CF/4 Distagon for a reasonable price on eBay, shame I didn't order it before my trip to Vietnam tomorrow. Has anyone on here got any example shots with that lens??

Well I dodged the bullet again this morning. Last night I got a call from the model to say that she had to work today so she wouldn't be able to join me for a photo shoot. I told my wife that instead of shooting the model we could go to the morocrana palace in Putrajaya and shoot that during sunrise.

So off we popped with 2 backs loaded with film and spare film in the bag. I shot the first roll of B&W and went to change over to a color film so rewound the film and opened up the back to find it was empty...........what a frigging wally.........just as well the model canceled, imagine how that would of looked, put your hands there, bend your knees a bit, oh yes i like that pose then 12 shots later showing the model an empty film back and telling her to do it all again :( :( :(

Question

Is there a way to tell if the film back has film in it or is empty???

On the left side of the magazine, Neil, there is a crescent-shaped window which is part of the opening key. It will show red when there is no film, red with some white when the film is first loaded before winding on, and white once you have wound on to the first frame.

A few of my scans are showing vertigo streaks......... is that from the processing or what, as not all shots on the same roll look the same????

I think those will be drying marks, and they indicate which way the film was hung to dry. If that's right, you could re-wash the film, use just a few drops of PhotoFlo in the last wash and dry it again.

Thanks Chris. I will try that, I don't have photoflo. I have been using a wee splash of squeeze (fairy liquid) after the final wash........I will see if I can get Photoflo here in Malaysia

Wow, there have been a lot of great photo's added since I last got to visit, and more contributors. I don't know how I'm going to catch up. I haven't taken any photo's for about a month, but shot 4 rolls of 120 this afternoon in failing light, so I haven't lost the taste.

These are from when I was still in Singapore (BW400 - M6 w/ 35mm Summilux):
