philipus Posted January 3, 2016 Share #9202 Posted January 3, 2016 Terrific shots Christoph, thanks very much for posting them. The v3 has a very nice look indeed. The Wiki doesn't say how long v3 is - is it longer or shorter than the v4 at 41mm/1,6"? Also - is v3 really "black lacquered brass" (as the Wiki says) rather than anodised aluminium like v4? Br and thanksPhilip One more taken with the 28 v3, this time in Lisbon. Early morning meant little light, so here the aperture was set to 2.8. Still leaves enough sharpness to nicely draw the background. (Fomapan 100) 150731_2_MP_0022.jpg Regards Christoph Philipus, Here, as promised some pictures taken with the v3: 150530_4_MP_0006.jpg Shibuya crossing Tokyo. A fantastic place to "bath" in the crowd and take pictures of people passing by. Set on f11 and 2m, everything from 1m to infinity is sharp... I would guess that the v4 has a slightly better coating to deal with the rather strong light... (FP-4) 150530_2_MP_0005.jpg Same day somewhere else in Tokyo we met this dog and its owner. Again, f11 or so and a guessed close distance yielded this photograph. (PX-125)

Guest Posted January 4, 2016 Share #9213 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Pfäffikon by -Ric Capucho- M6 and XP2 again. This is actually a handheld test shot to see if the composition might work for a long exposure shot with a 10 stop ND filter sometime in the future. The answer is yes and no: the composition works (for me) although I need to slightly reframe to the right. But those dots on the water are a mixture of ducks and small buoys for visiting yachts. The ducks come and go, but those buoys are there to stay. So I'll have to find a different spot elsewhere. Ric I'd say try it and see Ric, longer the exposure the better, blur out the fixtures that don't move, and get a bird-scarer for the ducks that annoy you. Gary Here is a 100% magnification for Gary who wants to see the 3 girls We distinguish the details without smoothing the edges as in the digital who loses details What extraordinary power of the film with its grains in microns I also see that when I enlarge on the enlarger Fabulous film ! Doc Henry Posted January 4, 2016 Author Share #9217 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) For Gary again sorry Gary time is cloudy and cold , pictuure is less nice than yours you posted above. Kodak TX400 Leica MP 28 Summicron Asph Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! I find that the 28mm lens is better than 35 mm for this kind of pictures and Street Photos and Adam is right. The 35 is just enough.About the Kodak TX400 it's better than the Ilford HP5 400 Isos for deep black and white tone. Here are my first conclusions with 2 rolls of Kodak TX for this New Year shots. The last time I had also used two rolls of HP5 and 35 mm lens With film, we take the time to frame, we think about what is going to take, not like inflation of pictures with digital camera Best Henry Edited January 4, 2016 by Doc Henry
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! What a wonderful city, and I hope your morale recovered fully! Did they remove all the locks at the " Ponts des Arts"? Best regards Christoph Thanks Christop for your thoughts. I lost in the same year my mother and my sister. Year 2015 damned ! as for the bombings in France. It will go better in a few times. Yes , well noticed Christoph , the town hall just removed the locks because the bridge could collapse.Thousands of locks weigh several tons Best regards Henry
