An epic fail

during the visit of Michail Gorbatschow in June 1989 in Germany we waited hours for his car to arrive. In the the second it appeared the transport of my camera failed and the only two pictures of the event where exposed over another. The rest of the film is alright.
No idea why and how this happened. But maybe the picture becomes much more dynamic therefor, and showed the excitement of the scene even better? Destiny?

That´s a nice sequence, bubbachua. Kind of street-triptych.

One thing about the Minox subminiature camera, Riga in this case, is that it reveals quite a bit about the quality of the film used. This is from my first roll using ADOX HR50. I have to say this is about as good a rendering as I have ever experienced. Rodinal, stand developed.

Maybe a bit over exposed or developed. But that is hardly the film's fault.

I love the modernist touch and composition of the picture -coincidence of the shadows on the wall, the furniture shown and the Minox as the tool. Again we can see how the camera (as a tool) has an influence on the mind-set and thus shows in the result. Possibly.

Thank you for the compliments, Klaus.  I am well pleased with the HR50 result, but, I think it may have been better named "HR64." I am going to shoot a couple frames of the next roll at 80.

I think I did not fully understand how to do double exposures with this camera. I like the results more than what I had in mind when pressing the shutter.

I like the picture, Phil. The motion blur makes it  a kind of one-picture-film. I can hear the wind in the foliage. And nice to see your Rolleiflex is working fine.

Thank you so much Dr Kl@us. It is interesting what you say, that it is possible for a single photograph to somehow approach the effect of a motion picture. Photography is so limitless and it is crazy fun to play around with the possibilities. And, thank you again - the Rolleiflex is indeed a very formidable camera, as we have observed with the examples you've posted from yours, and other filmsters such as Rog have posted.
