Since the pandemic started, my wife, who rarely ever cooked, became a crack cake maker. She saw this online and fell for it instantly. Ours is a pale pastel blue. I'll try and make another still life with it using colour film.

Ah, the Culinary Camera Courtesy of Xicara de Cafe. (I have fallen prey to Phil's Alliteration Avenue and the selections are scrumptious.)

Downwind? Not when she's giving you weather updates, whether to shoot or not. Extraordinary portrait. Did you have a soundtrack in mind?

Yes I have Ernest: Honey Bee from Stevie Ray Vaughan

Gorgeous model Marc ... the colours and grain take a lovely portrait to a level approaching that of a painting and I'm sure it would look lovely printed and nicely presented.

Thanks a lot, much appreciated. I also like the look of this special film which is now really very seldom to find and priceless!

Ah! Thanks for this reminder of where I caught the 'disease' for a Leica 111f which I acquired, complete with 50/2.0 Summitar, special cable release and the original users manual, all in mint condition. My life has never been the same since. 👍

The One O'Çlock Gun.

(or target practice - Edinburgh style!)

Every day, the One O' Clock Gun is fired at , yes, 1 O'clock from Edinburgh Castle. The 'target' is the flag across the valley atop Edinburgh University (I think, please correct me if I have the wrong building!). If the aim is good, the halyard supporting the flag is severed by the projectile and dropping the flag, thus alerting citizens, who are watching to synchronize their watches, to the correct time. (Of course this is absolutely true - Scottish oath).

Being a smart arse, I resolved to shoot the One O'Clock gun (pun intended) including the clock tower in the background. All was beautifully composed in my VF, awaiting the 1 O'clock strike. At the critical moment, I tripped the shutter and patted myself on the back for impeccable timing. Upon processing the film, alas it was revealed that the smoke from the gun's discharge had obscured the clock! ☹️

It's not the same thing, I know, but an angle finder?

Anyone have experience using the F3 (or F2) with a WLF? I’m interested to know how well it is to focus on a small screen.
I could lie by saying I’m asking for a friend, but I’m not. You see, the old knees aren’t as good as they once were. Oh to be young!

Interesting results and a cool picture. Whatever they did to create Color Implosion it was something pretty magical because that film manages to look properly exposed while still giving otherworldly grainy results.

Due to the limited possibilities of safe travel this year I went for a four day walk in the north of the Netherlands end of last Month. With me the MP, and my travel-lens set, the 2/40C Summicron and the Voigtlaender 4/25 snapshot skopar. As Adox Color Implosion is not available anymore I tried Lomo Metropolis. I find it gives me a somewhat similar colour palette, though it is a very strange beast of a film... My starting point was the sea as shown in #70799 a few pages ago. However on the way there one approaches a dike, only to discover that the sea is still a few km away, as the dike in question is an old one and they build a new one long ago a bit further out... This is the older dike.

MP, 40C, Metropolis@100

Now they're all showing up! Really cool car pictures. I like the colour one the best.

Oh. That's a bit of a worry... I had no idea. My apologies Philip. I wonder why that is? Are other people finding that some photos aren't showing?

Very nice JM.

Thanks! I agree about the contrast, it is really strong. I also shot in the middle of the day, under mid august harsh sun, so I decided to develop it with a dilution higher than usual (with a 5 mins pre-bath to soak up the thick emultion), but the contrast is still there. Not an easy film to use, but I liked it. Also not cheap, I have to say.
