gbealnz Posted October 2, 2015 Share #7044 Posted October 2, 2015 And while the Doc's away, I will carry on with my Euro travel series. Slowly working through a few of the shots, using the T and BEOON. Laborious, but fun as well. VERY minimal mucking with in LR. One thing is for sure, Tri-X IS grainy, LOL. M6, 50 Summicron M Col. Rodinal 1:50, TX400 Gary this is really nice, Gary. I don't knew this s taken but I'll bet that these men spend a lot of time there fishing. I like the tonality that you have extracted from your Tri-X. I actually would have expected it to be more contrasty and having less midtones. Your shots have very good shadow detail. And I'm sure that the grain would subside with a manual print. Digitizing B&W film often introduces extra grain that one should take with a grain salt.

Sorry, the old guys fishing was taken in Chania, Crete. And yes, looks like an everyday occurence, a form of relaxation for them. Gary

Yes, it's a definite pain to get these new crimped on cassettes open, but once was enough to teach me: "no leader, the film needs developing". Not all bad though, some "different" results here, LOL.
