Well done for spotting this, and wonderful colours too.

Very nice Gary, a place I've always liked to visit. Which camera and lens?

It's a great city, we usually stop a few nights as we wend our way home, recommended.

Certainly the R6, it was the body I used for colour, and I'm guessing the Summicron 35mm.

If you happen to find yourself on the island of Gotland, don't miss the "rauks", these tall stone formations of limestone located at several points along the coast. They result from abrasion of softer stone, actually of the coral reef of which most of Gotland is made. This field - Langhammars - is on the western side of the sister island of Fårö (of Ingmar Bergman fame) just to the north of Gotland. It's rare to see so few tourists here. Normally the place is flooded (damned Instagram). But this was in late May last year, just before the tourist season began.

The palette is quite cool, in part because I pulled the film to EI100 (which I normally do with all C41 except Ektar) and in part because I am currently not using my Eizo as my video card is busted, so I'm relying my old Cinema Display.

Btw, just in case anyone was wondering, on Gotland they don't play rock'n roll, but rauk'n roll

Rollei Prego micron - Konica 200

Really good one, James.  So simple but sometimes that all you need :)

two simple but beautiful stones in the right light: that's all it sometimes needs. Taken with a black Canon AE-1 and a chromenose FD 1,8/50mm that was built in 1971 on Arista EDU 200 (aka Fomapan 200). Scanned by myfilmlab.de

"simple yet beautiful" - well said!

Wow, Paul.  This is awesome.  Really one of your best.  The green is so perfect and the layers of subjects gives the scene great depth.  and then there are the clouds.  Really love this!

Lovely, Gary.  My experience to HK wasn't so great.  Schlepped my SWC and all I got was smog.  Nothing spectacular IMHO.  A real shame.

Thanks, Adam, for your kind words. I always value your comments. Now, would you believe that the photograph of Kew Gardens was taken with a 28mm/2.8 Soligor lens on a Zenit-E "Russian bear"? I still have that combo, shiny and alive---and heavy, too!
