Guilty as charged! The only time I put XP2 through C-41 is if I have to do a colour film at the same time. For those who haven't tried it yet:

Expose at ISO 200 if you want fine grain

Rodinal 1+100

About ten inversions at the start

Let it stand for 30 minutes

Then three inversions

Stand again for 30 minutes

Fix and wash as usual.

C.

Thank you Gary, I'll "store" this info, and try it myself.

Rock stack, Playa de Caleta, La Gomera. Even with a total filter factor of -12 stops and f11 it was impossible to bring the exposure slower than several seconds, so bright was the light!

Leica MP

CV 29mm Color-Skopar f3.5

Fuji Acros 100

Heliopan O22

Heliopan ND 3.0

M-A, 28mm elmarit pre-asph, portra  400

This selfie capture is outstanding!  Pity, I now have to sell all my 35mm Leica equipment.  But it's okay.  I'm going back to look at this photo again.  I share your high regard for the 28mm elmarit pre-asph.  It's the only lens wider than 50mm I've ever liked.

This is what I call "the perfect moment" Adam

best regards

Marc

Thanks, Marc.  I wonder whether she would like my POV over hers.  It is not clear to me whether people like selfies b/c of the particular way in which it frames them in the context of their surroundings (on the basis that it is somewhat of a fad) or whether they are simply trying to take a photo of themself (in which case I'd wager that my shot is quite flattering of her).

Thanks very much; I really appreciate your kind feedback, and I hope that whatever gear you are left with is highly satisfying.

..and Henry, thanks as always for your commentary :)

Saab Draken - I added a tiny bit noise reduction (click for a much larger version).

M5+ DR Summicron + Neopan 400.

Cuthbert - this image seems quite overexposed to me. The blacks are grays and should be blacks. And the light tones (zones 7-9) are all washed out. I am imagining an image in which there is tonal value in the sky with good midtones in the water and true blacks in the shadow areas and the relevant parts of the boats. Do you also see this or is it just me?

The M5 has a spotmeter and I was metering at the cabin door, that was red and not black if I remember correctly. If you also notice the shadow I also had the sun in front of me and it was almost sunset, plus I still have to find a yellow filter of the correct size for the Summicron! I have two soviet Y2 filters but they are 40,5mm...another shot of the day:
