Sparkassenkunde Posted June 8, 2015 Share #4925 Posted June 8, 2015 Just a test, straight conversion in b&w without adjustments: which one you like most? At first glance I thought the converted picture looked better, but now I prefer the original version, as the colors seem to support the mood on the depicted market place. With a slightly improved white balance it may work even better - but this way you might find many new friends amongst the lomography community
B.Toews Posted June 8, 2015 Share #4926 Posted June 8, 2015 For Ellie this one in KP 160 A question for Brendan , is't Kodak TX400 your last b&w picture ? Doc Henry Posted June 8, 2015 Author Share #4930 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) .... in color Massimo , yes i am lucky to buy recently a second MP (stolen for my first one) , a fabulous camera and perhaps at the end of this year a M-A ... my banker still watching me Cheers Henry I'm tempted to sell my M-E and buy an MP and be 100% devoted to film (M7 + MP). ... flashback http://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/205842-i-like-filmopen-thread/?p=2336035 Massimo, I started this thread with all of you , on 1st June 2013 and I have not changed my decision. On the contrary it strengthens my conviction that film is better and more faithful I will buy a 3rd analog camera because I have several lenses M to mount above My M8 and M9 still stay in my Billingham bag. Massimo if you can keep your M-E , don't sell it ! CCD is better IMO than CMOS ! Erwin Puts told that M9 had "vivid" color as you like ! MaDeVa Posted June 8, 2015 Share #4931 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Have you Silver Efex ?I had the trial version, I was planing to buy it but then I decided to try other similar plugins before. I'm now trying perfect b&w and topaz (this is made by the same people of Nik after Nik was sold to Google). Basically all do the same thing. MaDeVa Posted June 8, 2015 Share #4932 Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) ... Massimo if you can keep your M-E , don't sell it ! Frankly speaking I like more b&w than color. Some day I'm of the mood half digital and half analog, and think to replace the M-E with a MM1 (or M9M as someone started calling it), and keep the M7 for film. Some day I'm of the mood fully analog and think to sell the M-E and buy an MP. You are right, I should save and keep the M-E and buy the MP.... And maybe also the MM..... Someday..... :-) Edited June 8, 2015 by MaDeVa
chrism Posted June 8, 2015 Share #4933 Posted June 8, 2015 Congratulations to Gary and Jane! (I've been keeping up my film consumption, but lately have been using some non-Leicas, so I can't post them here.)
