I hope you all don't mind me posting this but the wedding went fantastic on Saturday, Jane had lots of suprises for me including her getting the horse and dogs brought up

a link because it is digital http://gsgary.smugmug.com/Our-Wedding/i-Pm8ZZsj/0/X2/IMG_2276-X2.jpg

Best wishes from me to you and your bride, too. You both look fantastic and as it seems the weather was with you on this important date. May the sun shine for you wherever you go!

Just a test, straight conversion in b&w without adjustments: which one you like most?

At first glance I thought the converted picture looked better, but now I prefer the original version, as the colors seem to support the mood on the depicted market place. With a slightly improved white balance it may work even better - but this way you might find many new friends amongst the lomography community  :D

For Ellie this one in KP 160

A  question for Brendan ,  is't Kodak TX400 your last b&w picture ?

Hi Henry,

Yes, that last photo was taken with Arista Premium 400 (aka rebranded Kodak Tri-X).

....   in color  :)

Massimo , yes i am lucky to buy recently a second MP (stolen for my first one) , a fabulous camera and perhaps at the end of this year a M-A  ...  my banker still  watching me

Cheers

Henry

I'm tempted to sell my M-E and buy an MP and be 100% devoted to film (M7 + MP).

MassimoI started this thread with all of you , on 1st June 2013 and I have not changed my decision.

On the contrary it strengthens my conviction that film is better and more faithful

I will buy a 3rd analog camera because I have several lenses M to mount above :)

My M8 and M9 still stay in my Billingham bag. Massimo if you can keep your M-E , don't sell it !

CCD is better IMO than CMOS ! Erwin Puts told that M9 had "vivid" color  as you like !

Best regards

Henry

Have you Silver Efex ?

I had the trial version, I was planing to buy it but then I decided to try other similar plugins before. I'm now trying perfect b&w and topaz (this is made by the same people of Nik after Nik was sold to Google). Basically all do the same thing. Edited by MaDeVa

Frankly speaking I like more b&w than color.

Some day I'm of the mood half digital and half analog, and think to replace the M-E with a MM1 (or M9M as someone started calling it), and keep the M7 for film.

Some day I'm of the mood fully analog and think to sell the M-E and buy an MP.

You are right, I should save and keep the M-E and buy the MP.... And maybe also the MM.....

Someday..... :-)

Absolutely fantastic portrait work! I fall down on my knees and feel ashamed for my humble attempts. It is a pleasure to see such fine works of art in this thread :)

Thank you very much and as from now, you are one of my best friends! What do you wanna drink?

But back to reality James, look at your amazing photos at your flickr account, especially the photos from Petra, they are breathtaking.

best regards

This is an amazing shot from an amazing woman! I like the look in her eyes, directly into your camera! Very good! For this kind of photography the Portra is perfect.

Hi All,  last night I spent 3 hours in my home lab to develop pictures.

Fog is really beautiful on paper  !

What a pleasure to see the results and what a pleasure to be in a "dark" *  room.

What also pleased to be able to frame as you want  with the enlarger (Focomat with Focotar lens)

brief a  great pleasure to be in front of his enlarger not his computer and inkjet printer

What beautiful photos !

Best
