Callanish Standing Stones, demonstrates what I've found to really like about Adox Silvermax.  It seems to render beautifully sharp textures, certainly different to Ilford Delta 100 which I might otherwise have used here.

Stunning picture Steve

Just well framing !

I got a new Summicron 50/2, I didn't expect this level of improvement with the XP2 and relatively low res scan. It's my third lens after getting Elmarit 28 and Summarit 50 in 2011. I think the Summicron will replace the Summarit now.

Hi, Henry,

Life gets in the way, so I am an infrequent visitor here but thanks again for starting this thread.

I am just now getting scans done from November when I was in Atlanta with my wife at the hospital. She was suffering from a subdural hematoma and a friend stopped by the ICU to allow me an hour to walk the streets. So, with the M6 + 50mm 1.5 Nokton + Acros 100, I went walking and just enjoyed the fall day. I hope to post a few as I get them scanned...

Very nice, Elie.  Just one question:  why tout the lack of sharpening?  In my view (and in the view of many others, in fact there is a whole best selling book out there on this and Jaap referred me to and which I read), ALL images require some level of NR and sharpening, even images from the digital Monochrom.  I have no shame in my NR and sharpening workflow.  It is more of an art than a science, I so the challenge is getting the right balance, particularly given the size of print or online viewing medium.

Thanks, for the sharpening it's a choice with the scan the Fuji C41 machine provides (1840x1232 pixels). I also learned from Jaap many years ago the method for resizing and sharpening, I use some of it for my M9P files. LR has sharpening when exporting but I don't use it for the smaller size scans here.

Hi Dave,

Glad to see you here in this thread. You are welcome :)

Good souvenir for me since our thread about scanner Epson and other brands several

years earlier.

However a  little sad to hear this bad news. I hope everything went well in hospital
(I send you a PM)

We always come back to what is beautiful, I mean the film

Very nice perspective and nice framing of this tower

Thanks for sharing.

Best regards

Henry

Adam, this picture is remarkable because there are two persons who have a

completely opposite attitude the gentleman leaning forward and the lady behind

tilted back :)

It's really a coincidence but it's funny

Nice color
