very nice, Wayne

Earlier, I posted a photo of the milkweed my wife insists on leaving in the garden. This week the reason showed up. Hungry fellow.

Another excellent shot Ian. And I learnt a new word today, yay. Thank you.

Keeping the lepidopteran theme going, here's the most widespread and least demanding of the British blue species. The Holly Blue, Celastrina argiolus, is a frequent visitor to gardens and churchyards. Here's one on some Mayweed. 90 Macro Elmar-M and Portra 400.

Great use of the Horizon J-M. And those helicopter photos are simply incredible.

Here's an old kodachrome I've revisited. Scanned a few years ago:

Souq al-Gamaal, Cairo, Egypt 1987

Canon A1, FD 100mm f2.8 SC, Kodachrome 25

Amazing. It looks like something I should have seen in National Geographic.

Best,

Wayne

Thanks !!

I used an expired  film to test an old camera then the heli rescue happened ... the original were fine, yet the BW conversion added  more character imho .

Testing a new to me lens, Tele Elmarit M 90mm 2.8. Sharp little bugger. Fair amount of flare on a number of shots on the first roll, though I was using the hood for my 50mm, which was relatively useless. I'll definitely be on the look out for the proper hood, and take care how I use this in proximity to direct sunlight, doesn't seem like it handles backlit shots very well.
