Henry - This one and the one above (#3615) are wonderful in terms of composition and content except the blue hues ruin the "faithfulness" for me. I think they could be improved dramatically with a little WB adjustment.

Totally agree with you Adam :)

Here is another picture with the correction of the WB (automatic in LR)

... But we lose that "little" haze that gives this light blue reflection of the sky, characteristic of this region of Normandy

We have the same phenomenon in the mountains with the blue sky reflected in the snow

Much better, Henry. Sometimes you have to compromise. :)

And I love the last shot of Chantilly. I wish Kodachrome was still being sold and developed. :(

I wish Kodachrome was still being sold and developed. :(

Now that would be a reason to buy an M-P or M-A!! How excellent would all the new Summiluxes, that have been brought out after Kodachrome was discontinued, perform on Kodachrome 25!

To go to 3200m at the "Pic du Midi" French Alpes, (which you can see at the top of the picture), you have to take the cableway

(photo taken in "contre-jour" from the cable car) where you can see the cables. The Mont Blanc 4860m is on your right.

Fère en Tardennois castle XIIth century (in ruins by bombs World War 1)

The feudal old castle of Fere en Tardenois raised in the XIIth century on a hill remains the basis of the 7 towers.

In the XVIth century was built the famous bridge with two galleries thrown on the gap between the gate

and the entrance pavilion. It is the forerunner of the "Castle of Chenonceau" The Loire Valley with its famous castles

with its 7 towers

Hey Otto. Time to stop selling on your M4s so that film remains part of what you do, mate. It's very well exposed indeed, seeing as all that snow normally confuses a light meter into under exposure. But the M4 has no light meter, so this tells me you know what you're doing. Very much so.

The orange filter is a nice compromise between a red and no filter at all, I think. Sometime the "Ansel Adams skies" from a red filter are a bit too much, right? But the cloudscape you've captured looks great with the snowscape below.

Nice landscape, mate.

I like the film colours, by the way.

Thanks for your nice comment Ric! I use the Gossen Digisix in incident light metering mode mostly and especially in these tricky situations. I play a little with the amount of compensation for the Orange filter depending on what effect I want with the blue skies.

Recent trip around Belgium, with M2, 21/2.8 APSH. and a Cron 40 (just use for one or two shots).

I have had some problems with developing, Don't know if the developer wa expired, or some light came into the tank, whatever!
