Doc Henry Posted March 15, 2015 Author Share #3630  Posted March 15, 2015 To go to 3200m at the "Pic du Midi" French Alpes, (which you can see at the top of the picture), you have to take the cableway (photo taken in "contre-jour" from the cable car) where you can see the cables. The Mont Blanc 4860m is on your right.  Welcome, dear visitor! Guest Posted March 15, 2015 Share #3636  Posted March 15, 2015 Here's my first try after restarting with film in my new, third, M4. Delta100 in HC110 B, 6'. Summicron 35 IV with Leica Orange filter.  Comments welcome   Hey Otto. Time to stop selling on your M4s so that film remains part of what you do, mate. It's very well exposed indeed, seeing as all that snow normally confuses a light meter into under exposure. But the M4 has no light meter, so this tells me you know what you're doing. Very much so.  The orange filter is a nice compromise between a red and no filter at all, I think. Sometime the "Ansel Adams skies" from a red filter are a bit too much, right? But the cloudscape you've captured looks great with the snowscape below.  Nice landscape, mate.  Ric

I use the Gossen Digisix in incident light metering mode mostly and especially in these tricky situations. I play a little with the amount of compensation for the Orange filter depending on what effect I want with the blue skies.
