Scan? I thought the question was about contact printing where you place the negativ on top of the paper and expose the paper through the negative. When scanning, the question becomes moot as you can flip the image in the computer, of course.

The question I tried to answer is here: https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/205842-i-like-filmopen-thread/?p=3295808

my bad..... I was confused

Neil ,that's the case you must use "soft" grade paper and take care of the "black" part

ie black when print (at left > white in negative) and when you put in the paper developer

(decrease the time) .

Difficult to highlight the house in the middle in the black . Good work Neil

Another mistake in the development process. I just switched to HP5+

Went to the darkroom and put the film in the D76. Then to my horror I realized that I hadn't checked the devolopment time. So gut feeling kicked in and I went with the same 6 minutes for the TREX....... gut feeling was wrong it should have been 7 1/2 minutes

Never mind I will fix it in the darkroom tomorrow...........

Neil dev chart of Kodak TX320 is at 22°C > 7mn30 sec

and more at 20°C > 9 mns

7mns30sec you are right

At what temperature you work ? in Malaysia water is hot IMO

may be 22°C

See dev chart below :

attachicon.gifKodak_Tri-X_Datenblatt.pdf

Henry

Henry

Trix320 at 20 deg with D76 is 6 minutes

Ilford HP5+ with D76 at 20 deg is 7 1/2 minutes

I KL I use 20 deg for the first sheet (6 mins) then 22 deg for the second sheet (5 1/2 mins)

Neil

Its really no big deal, its just a picture of a red rose that I bought for my wife today. Plus when I work on the neg tomorrow in the darkroom I will learn how to fix an under developed neg :) :) :) :)

I love working in the darkroom

Have you a thermometer ? I think in Malaysia water is near 22°C than 20°c

I think 7mn 30 sec or 6mns , it's less important

Make some tests in print , you will see  !

Yes you're right .

You can open (?) more the aperture lens of your enlarger or increase (or decrease?)

the time of enlarger light impression.

The good thing with silver print is that you can modulate , according to your negative

Finally , I mean , you can always correct one negative when you print

it docent mater the water temperature as I put the chemicals in the fridge until they are exactly 20 deg, then start the developing process. First sheet 6 mins then 5 1/2 mins for the second sheet. The temperature will have dropped overt the 13 minutes first sheet developing time.

Now that I am using HP5+ it will be 7 1/2 and 6:45
