Great photo Phil!

Mark

What a great opportunity and wonderful portrait Phil.

.

And agreed. Photography is a great raison d'être for so many travels and experiences. I feel a little incomplete without a camera in my hands when travelling.

What a beautiful RED.  Wow.  Can't wait for that film to be re-released!

Wonderful red Phil and thank you :)

...and thank you for your ballon comment

Henry

Thank you Mark, Hartmut, Adam and "Pop" Doc. I really respect and admire the encouragement and support that permeates this wonderful thread. Also, Hardy - I know exactly what you mean about traveling and not feeling quite right without a camera in your hands!

Thank you so much, "Poppy" Doc and Philip.

Here's another I've found in my archives. Artist "Lofty" Bardayal Nadjamerrek (now sadly deceased).

I wonder what he was thinking about. It is great that you were able to bring the thought forward.......Whatever it was.

Thanks Wayne. He was painting at the time - I remember that. I think he was also speaking with some friends/family/acquaintances - it was at an arts centre co-operative, so the people around him were artists too. A wonderful place, person and experience.

BTW that low ISO colour film you're using looks intriguing! Is it tungsten balanced? It looks like the blues are prominent in the colour mix. Would be a great film for certain projects, but difficult for general purpose photography!

I shot my second roll of Washi 120 rice paper film the other day ...

(There are six more on my flickr.com site, starting with #067 in this album:

They were scanned with the Leica SL using a BEOON and Macro-Elmarit-R 60mm lens. Here's the capture setup:

I'm finally getting the hang of this film and how to process and render it. Perhaps something exciting will develop when I shoot the third roll... :D

Thank you all for the comments, they are much appreciated!

I recently decided to try HC110.  I have been finding it to be much more convenient than D76, but I am still not sure if I like the results as much.  Since I am away from home for the next two months, I'll have to see how all of my shots from this summer look when I get home, and decide what developer to use for all of the rolls that I'm currently shooting...

IIIf, Leica 50/2 Summitar, HP5, HC110:

Brendan you're probably right . The development can change the rendering of one picture.

I like much the second picture with the nice grain of the door and wall :)

Thank you for posting
