Doc Henry Posted May 31, 2017 Author Share #33404 Posted May 31, 2017 If I got some time I went through my archive and scan some old negatives. Now I found another rare film I exposed in 1992. An ORWOCOLOR QRS 100. This was the first, or maybe second, film offered by ORWO for the Kodak C-41 process instead of the old Agfa-Color process after the end of the GDR. It was only short time at the market, since ORWO Filmfabrik Wolfen was liquidated shortly after it's introduction. Guess it was only available for about 2-4 years. Got the impression, that the negatives faded quite a bit, although stored in the dark most of the time. But with some effort they could be scanned quite well. So it's hard to say if some colors depend on fading or on the character of this film. 10A92-45.jpg Here is another one from this roll fo ORWOCOLOR QRS 100 10A92-57.jpg Yet another from the ORWOCOLOR QRS 100. A bizarre shop window. Looks like it hasn't been touched for decades. 10A92-61.jpg It looks nice for me this Orwo. It's not from Agfa ? The second picture is great Thanks for posting Fotomas Henry

gbealnz Posted May 31, 2017 Share #33407 Posted May 31, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't know if it will help you in New Zealand, Gary, but Vanbar here in Melbourne sell Tetenal kits: https://www.vanbar.com.au/catalogue/index.php?item1=CHEMISTRY&item2=COLOR&item3=FILM Thank you for that Phil, I was on their site last night but the tablet and their site didn't really work, I'll try today. Also appreciate the help too Erl. Gary
gbealnz Posted May 31, 2017 Share #33408 Posted May 31, 2017 I can't get liquid kits shipped to me in Canada, so I don't use Tetenal products. The powder kit for E6 doesn't seem to have restrictions, and I have a source in Canada (argentix.ca). If all else fails, you could e-mail Jacques Brodeur at info@argentix.ca and ask if he will ship to you. Chris Thanks Chris, if I can sort this closer to home I will, otherwise........... Appreciated. fotomas Posted May 31, 2017 Share #33411 Posted May 31, 2017 It looks nice for me this Orwo. It's not from Agfa ? The factory in Wolfen is the old Agfa-Filmfabrik where the first Agfa color film was developed in 1935. Today the have a nice Film-museum there, where you can see how film was manufactured. But after the WW II Wolfen was in the GDR and Agfa was split into Agfa-Leverkusen in West Germany and Agfa Wolfen in the GDR. In 1964 Agfa Wolfen changed the name to ORWO (for Original Wolfen). So it has old Agfa roots but nothing to do with the western Agfa brand since then. Regards Frank
