That pic works really well Phil.

The additional benefit of PS on a neg like that is that it is easy and inexpensive.

I have a similar neg somewhere. It took me three months and I don't know how much paper to print it to my vision. I included it in an exhibition, but not for sale. Someone offered me sooo much money for it that I no longer have it. :(

Have never reprinted it. Maybe I will one day.

Sorry to hear about your lack of scanner success.

Thank you John. Yes, according to Orlando, the Coolscan 9000 is useless without the door - which seems crazy. How did you go at the NGV the other day?

Agree with Erl, a stunner Phil.

If that's a failure, roll on your keepers.

Gary

Thank you Gary. I'm not claiming it as a failure. exposure could have been a bit better, and the negative is not ideal (at the time I was sending the negs home to a local lab here in Melbourne to process and the results were... well, inconsistent would be putting it politely. Unfortunately I didn't know that until a couple of years later when I got back and started going through the negs. However fortunately they're not basket cases.

Nice shots of Prague, BTW, somewhere I'd love to go someday (been to the airport but I don't think that counts).

Terrific results. I like this one in particular.

Got my test film back, first roll with my Super Angulon 21mm f3.4. Very happy with the results.

Very nice, and an interesting palette too. I've mean to shoot magnolias every year but I'm always too late.

We have one magnolia in our street and in the last years I was to late with my cam. But in this year ... :)

Ok this is just sublime. A fantastic photograph.

Here's one from the archives while I see if my scanner can be brought back to life (I've followed up the kind suggestions here, rung Nikon Ginza, talked to Orlando at the Camera Clinic - my last hope is to get a flap/door 3D printed if that is even possible).

My goal with this negative was to explore how far I could lighten (from a slightly underexposed negative) the foggy, opalescent light and yet still retain the mood of that evening:

I like this, it's a perfect example of excellent street portraiture.

Unfortunately that is the last photo of this very nice location, but it was very fresh and my beautiful wife was ... let me  say ... "not very amused" with my project to make photos on the cemetery ...
