gbealnz Posted May 7, 2017 Share #32168 Posted May 7, 2017 Gary, these are fascinating - I must admit to really liking air to ground photos. Would you mind saying where they are, though, if you still have that information? Thanks, Phil Phil, Sorry, very rude of me, especially to an Ocker. Two "falls" pics were Huka Falls, where the water from Lake Taupo becomes the Waikato River. I often land at an exceptionally nice accommodation complex at the very top of the aerial shot, you can just make out the front lawn perhaps. The "cone" is Mt Taranaki, or Mt Egmont in Eoin and Gary's time, we were at about 10,000' flying past, on a nice day. Last shot, the green dormant volcano is "One Tree Hill", and only the obelisk remains, some clown chopped the tree down, much to most of the country's disgust. One Tree Hill inspired a song by U2 (I think it was them, Eoin will correct me) and is within the suburbs of Auckland. Auckland is the largest city in this country, and surrounded and intermingled with around 25 volcanos. The pessimist in me says that one day, one day, one will blow it's stack, and oh boy what a mess there will be then. Gary

Another solution I often use the "A"option .
