IMO these last pictures show that this 85 lens gives a certain softness of faces and a nice rendering

You don't need the 90 and your 85 is currently fine

Thanks for posting

Very pleasant to watch faces in film

I agree, Phil. For some reason, this shot always makes me happy, the thought of the 2 ladies engaged in mutual appreciation at NSW Art Gallery (M6 w/ 35mm Summilux - Neopan Acros 100)...

That gallery shot is superb, Eoin,, and a perfect example of what we've been talking about.

I agree with this, too, Phil. Despite their valiant efforts to stay focused on maintaining a city persona, with the rain, Nature intrudes, and makes itself known. A great time to have one's eyes open.

An excellent way to summarize the attention we as photographers should give something that's even just a little out of the ordinary.Your continuing series of street shots with the 85mm (is it an f1.8 version?) provide excellent examples of looking for the subtleties.

Gary, these are fascinating - I must admit to really liking air to ground photos. Would you mind saying where they are, though, if you still have that information? Thanks, Phil

Hi Doug, S-A, GNU, Chris as practician , will confirm me, powder of development products are

toxic from a dermatological point of view . Wear gloves when preparing or handling these products,

liquid as powder. But these are not volatile solvents like benzene or methanol carcinogenic (which are

otherwise in the cigarette when you smoke or breathe next).

What I do in addition, I open a little my window when I work in the lab.

Good lab development and good photos

It's so beautiful photos in film and in print

Best

Thanks Henry,

I am still trying to get used with the framelines in the M6 hence the necessity to crop in lightroom

Wes if you come from SLR ,the habit will come quickly .

I shoot SLR before and now I prefer M RF . Camera is lighter

This makes me wish I'd become a pilot. Terrific shots Gary. I'm looking forward to more.

I got the chance to fly tactically in a small military helicopter in the Stockholm archipelago once. Sort of just above the treetops, drop down to water level, up over small islands etc. One of the coolest things I've ever done.

And here this is at ground level, quite a display, and beautifully clean.

This is great, well done. It could be an ad.
