As I promised to Eoin here a picture cropped of the "arch" with a sky in background

taken with the MM.

You notice the black is unhomogeneous as I said in my post above in comparison

with black of film and also the accentuated and doubled line on the edge !

It's banding phenomenon which exist in all digital cameras !

The restitution of the black by the software of the camera is incomplete

I prefer the purity and the homogeneous aspect of black of film !

It's amazing for this type of picture. Vegetation taken in b&w.

In my case ,  I never have the rendering like in your picture

Very nice . I'll try again next time with one TX roll

Thanks for posting Fotomas

Best

Henry

Hello Henry,

Thank you for your words.

I guess the rendering isn't the TX alone. It was taken shortly before sundown and some sun light was on the grass in the foreground. I increased it a bit with the contrast.

Hello film friends,

Apologies for the radio silence. It's been difficult to follow the thread as I've been at a military exercise in Sweden for two weeks and only came out of uniform on Friday. Had a great time but alas no chance to do much photography.

This thread really moves, I had some 900+ notifications. I can report that there is, actually (and annoyingly), a limit to how many 'thanks' one can give in a day. Going through the thread I received a message after a while that I had met the quota.

I'm also happy to see the inner flower photographer coming out in several of us, some great and very inspiring floral pix have been posted, in addition to heaps of other great shots of course.

Here are two for now, both with the 80 Planar and extension rings.

best

Philip

Spectacular. There is something about that distance at which folks in the frame are just identifiable as individuals. The "ant hill" perspective?
