Doc Henry Posted April 29, 2017 Author Share #31523 Posted April 29, 2017 I bought an OM2n a couple of years ago and never got around to playing with it. I was so jealous of my brother's OM1 back in the early seventies, and I'm beginning to remember why. Those microprisms make focusing so easy for old eyes! 50/1.4, XP2, HC-110, X1: Orchid by chrism229, on Flickr Dobson's Creek by chrism229, on Flickr Malagash beach by chrism229, on Flickr I'm going for my last opera weekend in Toronto next week, and I'm thinking I shall take this little beauty just for fun. C. Good idea to go to watch opera Chris ! Music is great for our mind , you know already that I think as practician and music soften moral The orchid is very nice Chris Thanks Henry

Doc Henry Posted April 29, 2017 Author Share #31525 Posted April 29, 2017 Spring has taken on a decidedly wintrier feel in the last week or so (there have been frosts overnight this week). These were taken about three weeks ago when it almost felt like summer. At Shaw's Corner in Hertfordshire – George Bernard Shaw's former house. 28 Summaron-M and Portra 400. A couple more from Shaw's Corner. Both Summaron-M again. I can understand Gandhi, and perhaps Lenin, but there can't be many who would want a photo of Stalin on their mantelpiece. Some refreshing pictures for spring . I saw that's Portra 400 A connoisseur for music an old turntable (in your last picture) Is't yours Ian ? Thanks

Doc Henry Posted April 29, 2017 Author Share #31527 Posted April 29, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) M3, 50 Summicron DR, Svema Color 120 image42634.jpg Out walking about in "Deep America" when I saw red and thought of Henry. While composing, the gentleman rushed out of the door: WHY ARE YOU TAKING PICTURES OF MY HOUSE?" I showed him my old film camera, told him it was a hobby, and loved taking shots of different shades of red. He became friendly and curious, and we talked about film for a few minutes. He was amazed folks were still using it. Ultimately he let me take the photo, which I ruined by getting my finger near the lens. M3, 50 Summicron DR, Svema 120 Color. image42642.jpg You see, Henry, your influence in bringing back awareness of film photography knows no bounds. You're right to explain him that's like his house an old support of last génération It's the reason he likes you now Nice and soft color Wayne Immediately following my encounter with the gentleman in previous post, I ran into this young man who peddled right up and asked if he could have my camera. I struck a bargain: he lets me take his photograph, and I let him use the camera to take a shot of me. image42640.jpg The price paid: image42639.jpg M3, 50 Summicron DR, Svema 120 Color Lovely shots Wayne What's Svema ? a refurbished of another brand ? Thanks for posting Henry My understanding is, they are a traditional Russian/Soviet/East Bloc film producer. Still in business. Not sure if methods of manufacture have been vastly altered from those of old days. Definitely not a re brand. Thank you for the compliments.
