I think I have a solution! Thank you Philip! I can download an image less than 1000kb now and post it. Might as well say it - i'm now a paid up member and no longer restricted to less than 500kb. I think the small size images were awful. These look much sharper as attached files at the correct size downloaded from flickr to my phone and then posted.

Once again I am about to move from the sublime to the ridiculous. Dusting off my shelves of old cameras, I noticed the Olympus Pen F (not the digital; the half frame 35mm film camera) focuses down to 0.35m with its standard 38mm lens. Such a sweet little camera, the focusing is so easy and sharp (despite all the dust and crud somewhere in the optics that I can't remove with Windex, microfibre cloths and a blower), and so light and easy to use. I still have my wife's Pen FT bought in 1977, but that viewfinder isn't so bright, and even though it has an adaptor for hearing aid batteries I don't trust it's meter. I have three lenses - 25mm/f4 wide, 38mm/f1.8 standard and a 150mm/f4 telephoto.

So...how about I load a roll of XP2 in the Rolleiflex, and one in the Pen F, set my meter to 400ASA, see what turns up tomorrow and develop both films in the same tank? I have some 24 exposure 35mm XP2 (giving 48 frames in this camera), so I will have to take four half frame shots to every 6x6 shot. Am I up to it? Will it snow? Can I find any other excuse? Hey, my life is all about making my own entertainment these days. I'll do my best and we'll see what happens.

Hi Gary

I use the Tapatalk app from my mobile to post mainly because I'm on the move all the time and tied to my desk during the day if I'm not auditing systems.

I can post links to Flickr but not embed them. It just doesn't work. The app gives me the html for image insertion and I put a hyperlink in and it just displays a hyperlink. I think if I were posting from a laptop I'd not have a problem.

Tapatalk makes a fuzzy mess when uploading images and resizing them.

So my work flow now that I'm am paid-up member and can post images to 1000kb in size is thanks to Philip's idea:

1. Get resized image from flickr on to my phone.

2. Attach, not upload via the resizing process, the correctly sized image to the thread

Et voilà; hey presto! A sharp image as I see it on every other device, I hope.

I have even tried resizing apps on my phone, but they don't meet my expectations.

Hopefully we can all see my pics in the sharpness they have now, it's been driving me nuts over the last month.

Kind regards

Christopher

I for one will be waiting, watching.

In my earlier days I lusted after a few different cameras, Leica, Hasselblad etc, and the Pen FT was also in the mix.

Now I have more Leica's than is required, and have had varying 500 series 'Blads, as well as owning now an SWC.

The Pen FT has so far eluded me, so don't come back with a result that will tip me over please Chris.

This works no problem for you on an android phone.

You been posting some lovely shots today. The movement captured with the dogs is lovely and it feels like one is there. I wish I had time to comment on all the amazing shots from everyone, but time eludes me.

I'm busy scanning at the moment.

Best wishes

48 frames on a roll is terrifying to me after getting used to 12! I guess 72 is possible!

You adjust I guess. I can imagine LF users having nightmares faced with 72 shots before developing!

In a vain effort to keep up with the Doc using his older Leicaflex SL, I got mine out, and took a selection of flower and garden shots, mainly with the 50 Summicron, as I have an Elpro set for this lens.

I also took a walk through the local gardens to finish the film.

Can't compete with the Paris street scene, but enjoyed the exercise nevertheless. More to come in the fullness of time.

Great shots. I like the window cleaner one a lot, but prefer the long exposure with the very smooth tones.

Chris, I'm with Gary. Please don't post this...kidding :D I was eyeing the various Pen cameras over Christmas. Seems there were quite a few. Looking forward to the results.

Adam, I love it, but you've ruined someone's street-cred with that! That girls face under the umbrella- if she were your daughter you would be in the dog house - [emoji23]

Nice color and nice picture Gary , still operational your SL ... keep your money and buy film :)

Thanks for your thought :)

About your question concerning the R 35mm ,  I have one too but don't use at the moment

I want to test the 50 Summicron first. Thanks for your proposition :)

Gary if you have a 50 Summicron make a test with it and give me your opinion

Best regards
