Wonderful results Steve. Well done (btw those massive letters must have been a p-a-i-n to put up in the terrain :D )

I was supposed to be making my way back home after a few days of landscape photography and walking on the hills surrounding  Wasdale, but I had a feeling the conditions were right for that elusive Wasdale cherry-red sunset alpenglow.   I decided to delay my journey and stick around to see what would happen.  Glad I did, you don't get long once the effect begins and it was an uphill sprint with a ton of camera gear (Xpan-2 and Fuji GX617!) to get to where I wanted to be.

I like these Chris. There's something special about panoramic photos.

Nice to see an XPan frame, and an excellent one as well, I have just acquired one (original) and started to learn its ways:

Still love my verticals:

There is, I took the test tree with a 21mm not long ago from a similar perspective and it is a very different rendering, your kind comments appreciated.

I used to post here and sort of got out of the habit.

Wayne thank you for your kind comments. It was an interesting day yesterday, I think Philip has certainly taught me a new trick with Adobe camera raw filter in Photoshop. My result from Photoshop regarding this shot was poor though. The UV haze around the tree went all strange. I preferred the scan. I'll see if I can attach it now

A very strange rendering of the haze. If anyone has an idea why I'd like to know. This is the jpeg from tif output from ACR after a neutral tone white balance process.

Thanks again Wayne.

Chris , you have a slight problem with this roll . Is't the same roll ?

Temperature and agitation are correct ?

Very nice picture in contre-jour , beautiful color

Corrected in LR with only the temperature +19

the green grass and mountain in back ground are modified

+ a bit of luminosity

Here a few more shots from the Olympus XA. Not brilliant but it is interesting to see what it may be capable of.

That shot is best ignored as it is not from the scan and messed up badly in photoshop. I said it was and am trying to work out why PS messed it up.

I'm not sure what causes the scan to render this way. Sometimes in "troubleshooting" scans, I find that it helps to go back to basics. This unofficial Vuescan manual has helped me in the past to get a baseline scan (the pdf is no longer available on the original page but can be reached through the Internet Archive). Perhaps run through the steps of that guide and post the result? Just an idea.
