A historic building in Christchurch, NZ. Sadly, it was lost in an earthquake.

Fuji Reala. Taken in 2003 with a then-new FM3a and the 45/2.8 pancake lens. Developed and scanned by a Mac's Photo on Colombo St.

Keith you did very nice pictures at this time :)

It's splendid , no flare , I think it's due to your contre-jour

It it's a case , yes for nice flare.

Very well done. Only film can give such contre-jour with details and

color in the shadows.

Great photo, Keith (M). It looks like a scene which is impossible to tame.

I wonder if you could find harder conditions to torture the lens... and the film... :)

You certainly did this one with flair.

"I'm often drawn to photos with a strong graphic composition involving only a few elements. This one is particularly nice, Henry".

Philip, the Tuaregs of the desert told me: "you must have seen at least once in your life before dying"
The desert is unique and it is beautiful . The Kodachrome reproduces well the color and the atmosphere

of the place..... no digital camera in 1975

Thanks for your comment

Henry

As we are in "I like film"  thread , just see this recent comment in a french forum of somebody who shoot digital

now return to analog and I want to share with you. I find interesting judgment ...  and I translate for you

The tittle of the thread : "From digital to film"

"Congrats (for the one who created the thread)  !

I am one of those who abandon the digital to the profit of the film.

I started the photograph in silver a long time ago. I persisted until my means of independent student no longer allow me from a financial point of view.

I experienced the emergence of digital as an opportunity . My financial resources having evolved with the time, I was able to start again of the photo. Digital this time. And I have learned a lot with digital . Some 150.000 triggers later we progressed normally ...

But now digital photography appears to me at the limit of
imposture. I no longer want to photograph with this technology which on the one hand produces results that I find too accurate, clinical, cold, dematerialized. And on the other hand opens the royal road to the manipulation of the image. (No need to repeat the debate of the photomanipulation in silver which I know exists or existed, but the case Mc Curry shows well the limits of the intrinsic authenticity of these new technologies).
https://petapixel.com/2016/05/26/photoshopped-photos-emerge-steve-mccurry-scandal/

In short, nothing to do with a judgment. I photograph for my pleasure like so many others, everyone does well what he wants of his photographic practice. But personally I feel the greatest desire to go back to an analog process because I like its qualities as its flaws. I find it simply more authentic and more visceral.

I therefore sold my
(digit) material to invest in a M6 and a 35mm with great happiness !"

Needless to say, I totally agree for this opinion and evolution

You have said "photo with a soul" ?
