Rolf's wonderful photos are making me think about trying Ilford Delta 100 once more.  A bit slow for my liking, but can't argue with the results.

Here's one from my "pre-Leica" days in 2011.  Ilford Delta 100 with HC-110 dilution H.

Outstanding portrait picture

That's Hasselblad ?

Thanks for posting

Here's one from a spot that I have been hitting a lot as of late.  Waiting for that "wow" sunrise...  I must have gone thee at the crack of dawn a half dozen times in the past few weeks w/o a single snap due to the uninteresting-looking sky....

This is not "wow" - but the gradations in the colors is nonetheless pretty, me thinks, and will make a lovely print...

Lower Manhattan, SWC, Ektar

Limpide beauty of color ....

More thought-provoking NYC street art on Velvia 50 w/ the SWC...

.... and superb color  no equivalent elsewhere  :)

Thanks Adam

Leica M3 still gives nice pictures Finar. I think it's also nice in color may be with a little correction too

Thanks for posting and great welcome to our film thread.

Best wishes for the New Year

Henry

Thanks for the kind words Doc.  I have to say that I'm not very pleased with the camera so far, although this is the first roll I've taken with it since I had the restoration completed.  The results don't look any better than with any other 35mm camera, or worse if I look at the crappy color and atrocious grain. Of course it might be the film, or the late afternoon sun, or the lens, which, on a film camera, doesn't look to be as good as I was expecting after having used it on a digital camera.

M3 with Canon 28mm Serenar.

You live in a nice place and you're lucky .

Much possibility and subjects for shooting.

Yes film has grain that's why I love , the great difference with digital

(I shot digital during 7 years, still have 2 M cameras but don't use)

some photo software imitate grain but the problem is square pixels

and smoothed pixels and some camera brand (Fuji) do it !

Your picture is superb specially the yellow color  :)

Thanks for sharing. If you have more , please share with us.

SL for street photo and landscape

Kodak TMAX400-Leicaflex SL-Summicron 50

The point in background in the sky isn't dust on sensor but a bird :)

Important point because I have a few hundred pictures of one of my mission

with dusts with my 2 digit M.

Just to inform you this new (?) problem with a M240 when it's cold

he stayed several hours outside at minus 1-2°C

dead pixel (possible), memory card, battery (90%) ?

http://www.summilux.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=81009

With my Leicaflex SL I was at minus 7°C

Illford made a good job with the Deltas - for my taste I prefered the Fuji Neopan and Across.

But Nothing comes close to the Agfa APX25 developed in Tetenal Neofin Blue......  ;)

I like it a lot, Adam. There's a nice pink-purple-gold balance to the colours throughout the frame which I like. And there's a lot of life-like clarity to the foreground. Sometimes too much drama in a photo risks being, well, just that.

Btw, what's that rectangular glass building at the foot of the bridge?

Excellent portrait, very nicely done. Looks a bit like Dennis Farina, who's one of my favourite actors.

Fantastic pictures, analogon - dripping with atmosphere. I particularly like the first.

PS Great little camera, isn't it? - the M6TTL.

Here's a slightly different take on the scene in the previous photo, excluding the actual sunset but including a little island. And, no, the little dots in the water are not Russian submarines (hopefully).
