were you outside? were they more responsive to picture taking the top of liberty tower? bring a tripod ok?

yes, I was on the top deck outside and used the Manfrotto 244 Variable Friction Magic Arm with Camera Bracket and a Manfrotto Super Clamp Without Stud.  Not cheap but worked well.

you just clamped it to the railing, and they let you? wonder if they would let me up with a tripod (have that small one you used) ..... interested in going in the next week or two?

yes I am happy to go with you.

There was a guy next to me using a tripod. We were both discreet and I felt the need to smuggle my bracket and clamp disassembled and then act discreetly once up there.  I had to bribe the security guy at the ESB when I went there a month or so ago.  So I think it is worth a try...

Ah, the site of the future trophy NYC skyscraper.  Apparently, the new building will have a station for the Long Island Rail Road...

Wayne not need to purchase expensive camera to obtain nice picture !

Nice perspective effect

"Skopar Anastigmat, 4.5x6" is it wide angle lens ?

Thanks for posting

Best H

It is 7.5 cm. I guess that would make it about 40mm in a 35mm perspective.

Thanks for the kind remark.

It was a day of strong sunshine and difficult lighting when I decided to go for a short lunchtime walk along Neath Canal. After grey days this was a day to exercise the M3 shutter button and use some XP2. In my bag was the 21/2.8, 50/1.5 CZ, 90/2.8 & 135/3.4.

Here are couple of my favourites. Henry how do you put it so nicely,"contre-jour"

IIIA, Voigtlander 28mm, 3.5 Color Skopar, HP5

I am certain it was an intended result of somebody's effort. I must go back and get it on Ektar.

May be I'll purchase some HP5 Ilford next time. The grain is great and natural !

The wall is very nice with its grey tone. I used it for fog photos and bought a dozen of rolls

Thanks

The Epson V700 is a great scanner specially for b&w . I did a comparison in

one thread with Ian (Wattsy) many years ago , now delete , when Andreas changed

LUF to LF ....

Here an example scan only in 800 dpi (8 bits) for printing in 10x14 cms postcard

you can see the grain with great details and nice tone
