a) Because of not wanting to carry a SWC / 503 w/40mm Distagon when traveling (which Neil does every month).

B) Because he enjoys it, and has the funds available.

This has nothing to do with money.

I would question the richest person in the world's decision to do this.

In an case, I'm off this topic as it was a way off topic to begin with.  Sorry.

Also had a 35 mm Summilux FLE at the time, easier with a M6 0.85 , still Portra 800 :

I had a look at the larger image on Flickr and I see what you mean. There remains a lot in the midtones but then it's as if suddenly the information disappears towards the shadows. I would have expected the midtones to be affected more but also think it looks good. You've caught a nice moment and framed it well.

Thanks Phillip :). I just heard back from Chris, the developer for the trix shot is D76 stock

Took my Hasselblad 500C for a stroll up Knap Hill on the southern escarpment of the Marlborough Downs for views along Pewsey Vale.  I had just taken delivery at the weekend of a second A12 back, so having finished a roll of Ektar I was able to quickly switch to Fomapan 200 (images below).  Will have to wait for the colour negs to come back from a lab.

Excellent execution of impressive tonal range. Reminds me of one of Ian's expansive B&W scenes.  Would be a real winner with the same tonal range replicated in some fluffy cloud coverage.  But sometimes Mother Nature just doesn't do her part!

I agree, and perhaps an orange filter could bend Mother Nature a bit ...

Well done Keith,

Thankee kindly both of you :)  Actually I did have a yellow/green filter on but there was a veil of high, thin white cloud creeping across a previously blue sky.  Another from the same walk/roll of Fomapan:-

Definately a more interesting sky. How do you like the Fomapan 200? It is a flat crystal film if I remember correctly, and as such sits interestingly between the more traditional emulsions Fomapan 100 and 400.

Which developer did you bath it in?
