EoinC Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23563 Posted November 8, 2016 Jaipur blue city Very nice, Neil. The blue comes through well, highlighted by the red contrast.
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23564 Posted November 8, 2016 Very nice, Neil. The blue comes through well, highlighted by the red contrast. The actual color of this film is very accurate to what I saw. In PP I just added a little contrast. I'm on the way back to the rig now, I've got a bunch more pictures to work on when I get back :)

Keith (M) Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23566 Posted November 8, 2016 Sept & Oct was spent meandering around France and Spain - regrettably with not too much in the way of film shot. However, today I developed the one (!) roll of Acros 100 put through my M7. The image below is with my C-Sonnar 50mm. Welcome, dear visitor! EoinC Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23568 Posted November 8, 2016 Very nice, Keith. 1 film is fine - quality trumps quantity (I'm not referring to someone with a cartoonish hairstyle, rather to the meaning generally applied to overpowering values in a card game).
Keith (M) Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23569 Posted November 8, 2016 Billy No Mates Ektar 100 Neil - those Ektar colours in your India series certainly pack a punch. A fantastic set. Hmm, should I try a roll of it in my GW690???
Keith (M) Posted November 8, 2016 Share #23570 Posted November 8, 2016 Same camera, lens, film etc - even the same location (near Coulon in the Venise Verte area of western France). Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23571 Posted November 9, 2016 Neil - those Ektar colours in your India series certainly pack a punch. A fantastic set. Hmm, should I try a roll of it in my GW690??? Keith this is my first time snorting Ektar and I like it a lot. I shot 16 rolls of it and six rolls of Tmax 100, I still have many to post once I get around to it.

Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23574 Posted November 9, 2016 Have a good hitch, Neil. I'm glad Bang Bang Geng turned the films around in time for you.He did that mate Did you have any luck with your scanner? I'm convinced it's a software thing as my scanner started playing up again and all I did was force quit Vuescan open Silver fox and scan three negs. Went back to Vuescan and all was good again. Anyway hopefully you get it fixed soon.

Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23576 Posted November 9, 2016 There's nothing special about this photograph, except it was the first one I took with an old Ihagee plate camera I found in my collection recently, I don't even remember where I got it. Ihagee Ultra Duplex fitted with a Suydam 120 film back. Zeiss 10.5 cm lens. Ilford HP5 Sheet011_002_small.jpg This is the camera IMG_0514_small.jpg Using the camera was an experience, I need to develop a procedure to be sure I don't miss a step. I love the ability to shift the lens on it. It does have one tiny light leak in the bellows, I will take care of that before I run another roll of film through it. Wow......... you shouldn't have shown me that
Jeff S Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23577 Posted November 9, 2016 Wow......... you shouldn't have shown me that Only a matter of time before you go large format (at least 4x5....inches). Once you've decided to haul a lot and use a tripod anyway, you might as well go for the big negs. Then you'll really go nuts over your prints. mikemgb Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23578 Posted November 9, 2016 Wow......... you shouldn't have shown me that Yep, it's a nice compact 120 film system. However, it takes time to shoot, composing with the ground glass screen is tough, but it is a lot of fun. Next time out I may try it just using the viewfinder and not use any of the shift options. Jeff Yeah, I'm agonizing over going back to 35mm for a trip this coming weekend, those 120 negs are just so nice.
Jeff S Posted November 9, 2016 Share #23580 Posted November 9, 2016 (edited) Yeah, I'm agonizing over going back to 35mm for a trip this coming weekend, those 120 negs are just so nice. But 120 (medium format) is tiny compared to 4x5, let alone 8x10 (large format). Jeff Edited November 9, 2016 by Jeff S
