Balance, tension, depth, subtle tones, true colours. Delightful. Cheers J Thank you J I lived and worked in the village near there , for some days and fishermen invite me to see how they work. Advertisement Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Hi Doc Henry, Take a look here I like film...(open thread). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Xenia Posted October 27, 2016 Share #23242 Posted October 27, 2016 Xenia Why not print yourself for small size and give big size to lab ? Some lab can print in silver print , case in Paris I have an enlarger Focomat and I print more than 30x40 cms It's really nice when you print and do yourself For Linhof Adam will answer you I believe he has one Sure it's heavy for you but the result is superb . Adam showed us above some of his pictures X1D or another MF digital are digital and not film ... you already know my opinion. but you must enlarge so big 130cms ? In any case , you do a good and great job ! bravo Best Henry Thank you, Henry, for your support! I personally don't like printing that big, but the gallery likes and almost demands big prints. After all these years carrying 15-20 kilos on my back, I simply can't do it any more. The Linhof reminds me of my SWC, only it is so much bigger and heavier Best wishes, Xenia
EoinC Posted October 27, 2016 Share #23243 Posted October 27, 2016 Enjoy Eoin! Mine has a dented filter ring, lots of Schneideritis and no hood but I love it more than any shiny new ASPH lens. The 0.4m MFD is a treat for my MP too. A shot of my son playing Pokemon on HP5 with SA 21/3.4. Thanks, Coogee. It is a very nice copy, clean and smooth movements. I took it out tonight and shot a little with my Monochrom to see what it was like - Very nice! I think it will be a lot better with film, and am looking forward to getting up close on the weekend. Doc Henry Posted October 27, 2016 Author Share #23249 Posted October 27, 2016 These are wonderful, Henry! I love the subtile tones... Thank you Xenia, all is in the "nuance" and the film captures very well this nuance. This gradient fine and subtle, found in color as in black & white is impossible to have in digital because of the "smoothing" The impressionists artists seek much this nuance in their painting like Claude Monet So you're an artist in photo Thanks Xenia for your comment Regards Henry
Doc Henry Posted October 27, 2016 Author Share #23250 Posted October 27, 2016 This one's particularly good, Henry. I like the light playing on the valley in the background.
