Great, what a photo?! Fantastic!! I am not a big fan of the Ektar films but in this case ... perfectly. It looks beautiful and the sharpness ..

Best regards

Gregor

Thanks a lot. I still need to practice a bit more with all the different kind of films for medium format. I just started with the Ektar for color pictures. With my Leica film Ms I like to use the CineStill50 a lot, but unfortunately this is not available as a 120.

on the river Rhein (approx. 45 min far from Frankfurt). I like the zone and the Riesling from this area ... :)

I used the Ekta some year ago with the my M7 and it was not my cup of tea .... After this I have used only Portas o Fuji Pros for MF. Do you use CineStill? Could you please show some examples here?

Thank you in advance.

On these two pictures do you notice the black is not the same in Ilford HP5 400 Isos  and Kodak TX400 Isos

Which you prefer shot the same day but not the same place ?

Paris

Seine river 2015

Kodak TX400-MP-28 Cron Asph

Ilford HP5 - Cron 28 -MP

Grain is nice with Ilford and black may be clearer but nice grey

Who said "each film is a new sensor" ?

Best

Henry

I prefer the second shot, Henry. I don't think it has only to do with the film You used. I love the picture !

Another close up shot wide open with the SWC and Ektar

Not too bad for an effective 20mm lens in 35mm format terms, eh? :)

Many thanks, J, Marc and Eoin.

Eoin - the red blocks are planters hanging from hooks in a greenhouse.  I kind of like the symmetry but I do see your point.

Errr ... WOW!

J :)

Not too shabby at all and why I will never give mine up.  tri-pod + ground ground glass or free style :)

The close-up is excellent, Adam. The only parts I find distracting are the block reds in the background.

On my usual "challah run" to Williamsburg, Brooklyn last Sunday, I took the opportunity to meander around the neighborhood and watch religious Jews shop for Etrog fruits for the upcoming Sukkoth (Succos) holiday.  These Etrog are required to be purchased and prayed with during the holiday.  They are considered to have very deep spiritual significance.  There is a plethora of laws regarding the pristine condition that the Etrogs must be in to qualify as "kosher" for the holiday.  In this spirit, people spend an inordinate amount of care and energy examining these fruits before purchasing them - even with the use magnifying glasses in many cases.   A friend of mine in my community (which is MUCH more modern than the folks in Williamsburg) boasted of paying $500 for his Etrog this holiday
