Here is a picture I shot in Austria, a couple of weeks ago. The most recent one I develloped up to now.Same film ( Kodak400TX ) , same camera ( IIIf ) as usual.

The derelict graving docks in Govan, Glasgow - January 2016. Leica M5, 28mm Summicron ASPH, Agfa 100 black and white film.

Colin more snow picture please. :)

I like much this one , real atmosphere of snowy day through your picture.

The grain of film highlights more the snow (ice crystal and microdroplets of water) in foreground

Thanks

Henry

I picked up a colour print film from the lab this evening, it was a test film to see how a recently acquired camera worked, the answer was very well. Unfortunately I didn't like it and it is now on eBay.

Yashica Electro 35 GSN, Walmart grade Fujicolor.

Mike ,  it's fine and very beautiful picture

Nice color

Why sell ?

I like the bright one above (great reds and pleasant composition), but this one is really nice indeed. I like how you've used the narrow exposure latitude to bring out the dying flowers. As a space nerd, I can't help but thinking it looks almost like galaxies in the vastness of space (Abell 2744 cluster, from Wikipedia).

One more, this time with Velvia 50

On these two pictures do you notice the black is not the same in Ilford HP5 400 Isos  and Kodak TX400 Isos

Which you prefer shot the same day but not the same place ?

Ilford HP5 - Cron 28 -MP

Grain is nice with Ilford and black may be clearer but nice grey

The closer Notre Dame shot for me Henry, but difficult to pick, as the other shot has slight sun.

Both bring back fond memories.

I'm just not sure I'll ever put another film through it, I have two SLRs I use, I have a my Canon QL17 which is a wonderful small, quiet, unobtrusive camera, my most commonly used film camera is my IIIa and I just booked a trip to Chicago to buy a film M.

I just don't see the Yashica fitting in that rotation, plus it is aperture priority only, if the battery dies it is pretty much a paperweight and you cannot easily compensate for difficult lighting situations.

Since I'll probably never use it again I thought I'd pass it to someone who will use and appreciate it.

I've been given a wonderful book by a Glasgow photographer Joseph McKenzie (Pages of Experience) and he shot around the Gorbals in the 60's I think there is another book Children of the Gorbals if you get chance look this photographer up

Which M are you getting ?

I would love an MP or MA but will have to make do with my M4-2 and 70 year anniversary M4P

More I photograph with my M7-MP , more I like and less I photograph with my M digital , no comparison,

and no dust worries on the sensor , no memory card problem, no lines or edges cutting as knife (too sharp)

no correction in LR , ouf ! what a great relief and comfort for me and print is nicer in silver paper ! with grain please

as said Neil  :)

Have a nice day All

Best

Henry, thanks for the summing up. One point I'd like to add is this: authors of books on composition and techniques sometimes mention the "Ernst Haas Negative." They refer to Haas' early photo assignments with prisoners of war returning home. He photographed them with a Rolleiflex and, to the newspaper editor's astonishment, all the twelve frames were publishable! Not a single shot was wasted!

When shooting, I try to mimic Haas, with occasional success with medium format, much less so with small format. Imagine what happens with digital--complete disaster. The lurking thoughtlessness in hastily pressing the shutter is enough to kill the photograph.

An M2, or M3, or M4, or M6, the M3 is probably bottom of the list because of the lack of frame lines for anything wider than 50mm, but I'm simply going to see what my dealer has in stock the day I visit and buy the one I like the most.

a picture from Luzern.

This is steller, Dirk. All the tones and colors fit together so beautifully.

This is from FOAM in Amsterdam where I saw the Helmut Newton retrospective (was OK but not as much wow as I had hoped).

Almost a surreal image Adam, one i could live happy with printed and framed on my wall

My favorite of the flower shots.....I really like this one a lot Adam.  Sort of has an abstract feel to it, which I like.

Outstanding color of Hibiscus magifique red Adam

the faded flowers are very well reproduced

Best

Thanks, gentlemen. The velvia 50 photo was accidentally underexposed and pushed a half a stop to help compensate. That caused the very narrow EV range.
