Sparkassenkunde Posted December 15, 2014 Share #2269 Posted December 15, 2014 In this case I think it is not a matter of colour vs. B/W; rather, the B/W version seems to have been made with much more attention to the details. It shows details, e.g. in the painting, in the columns and even in the furniture which the coloured version seems to be lacking. I think you are right! I struggled with the withbalance on the color version for some time and finally decided to convert the picture with SilverEfex. Thank you all for your opinions! Doc Henry Posted December 16, 2014 Author Share #2275 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) The world is full of illogic. As people look for cameras with sensors of several million pixels at unaffordable prices, we have the film much cheaper, which gives us satisfaction with colors like in the picture below. The color of the stone of this old castle is really well reproduced. I'm not talking about grease stains on the sensors, out of stock, waiting stress return repairing , pictures with stains corrected with LR or PS etc .... I do not also talk about some of the images that arrive to be "synthetic images", with "smooth" edges, with no soul So why look elsewhere what can be achieved with a single welknown support , since the advent of photography and has since evolved to reach the level of this film Kodak Portra ? It's a self-reflection (after 5 years of using my 2 digital M) , and your opinion ? lichen and old stone Welcome, dear visitor!
